REBEL REBEL is a 5-piece David Bowie tribute band from Connecticut. The band formed in 2019 from a collection of veteran musicians within the local music scene. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses tight 4 part harmonies, Phil Rainville's magnificent guitar magic, Dom Caputo's rock solid drums, Eric Tootell's thumping bass and Jeff Bousfields wide variety of spectacular sounds and talent behind the keyboards, along with Dave Denis' amazing singing voice flawlessly matching David Bowies vocal range and capturing the essence of Bowies music that will make you want to dance all night long and sing to all the hits!

DAVE DENIS. 

LEAD VOCALIST, RHYTHM GUITARIST AND CHAPMAN STICK

Known for playing bass guitar and Chapman Stick- a touch style instrument which combines bass and guitar synthesis. Performs extensively with The Brandt Taylor band, Sons of Sasquatch and Strange Brew Pub Album Tribute Series (AC/DC, Talking Heads, Guardians of the Galaxy...).


 

PHIL RAINVILLE

LEAD GUITAR AND BACKING VOCALS

Phil is a decades long veteran of the Southeastern CT music scene. He was a student of the American YouTube personality, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and educator Rick Beato. Phil Rainville blends a strong background in traditional rock guitar idioms along with more contemporary and avant-garde approaches to the instrument. The result is a union of styles that compliment the full range of David Bowie’s extensive and diverse catalog

 

DOM CAPUTO

DRUMS AND BACKING VOCALS-

Dom is a Southeastern Connecticut native who's been playing drums for nearly 35 years. He has played with an assortment of diversified musicians and bands over the years including the U2 tribute band the Joshua tree.


 

ERIC TOOTELL

BASS AND BACKING VOCALS-

 Eric's influences came from both his  Mother and Father's sides of the families, one includes his Uncle Dom Caputo, from his Mother's side, the Drummer for REBEL REBEL! Eric stays busy working as a business owner during the day and a working musician at night and is currently playing in multiple bands, including REBEL REBEL!

 

JEFF BOUSFIELD 

KEYBOARDIST- 

A lifelong resident of CT, began classical piano lessons at age 7. After switching to contemporary music as a teenager, began playing rock & blues in Hartford area music venues at the age of 17, using a beat up old Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes piano. After high school, attended the Hartford Conservatory of Music as a Jazz and Pop music peformance major. Over the past 40 years have played in many jazz, blues and rock bands performing at Hartford area clubs, festivals and casinos. Musical influences include: Chick Corea, Jan Hammer, Elton John, Chuck Leavell and Dave Brubeck. Currently performing with Brandt Taylor Band, In Deep Band and Rebel Rebel.
